Level IV CNC Mill Machinist

Our northwestern Wisconsin cliet is looking for a 2nd shift Level IV CNC Mill Machinist.
This position requires the ability to setup and operate our clients most complex milling jobs without technical supervision.
It also requires the individual to take ownership of each setup to ensure that set up information is documented and accurate, and that CNC programs and setup sheets are brought up to date by working with programming.
Frequent interaction with Manufacturing Engineering will be required to qualify setups.
The Level IV CNC Mill Machinist position is a leadership position of great influence in defining our clients core machining competency.
WORK PERFORMED:
-Set up and run vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers -Handoff verified set ups to other machinists and/or inform others on the set up procedures -Responsible for the overseeing and/or assisting of other set ups -Verify that all set ups are thoroughly and accurately documented; no tribal knowledge -Updates Preventative Maintenance log as required.

daily, weekly, monthly -Ability to meet time sandards indicated on shop folder and alert supervisor if standards are not accurate -Maintains a positive attitude towards co-workers, the company, company's goals and is a leader on the floor -Keeps work area clean and organized according to clients 5S program -Ability to successfully troubleshoot problems in a timely fashion and to contact Manufacturing Engineering when necessary -Perform manual inspections with micrometers, calipers, dial bore gages, etc.
-Ability to effectively and efficiently use the FARO Arm -Make excellent use of time.

Informs production supervisor if they have spare time to work on other tasks -Does not kill time waiting for inspection to sign off part -Verify all inspection documentation, shop orders and set up sheets are being filled out properly -Relay any pertinent information to the Production Supervisor -Monitor safety, housekeeping and preventive maintenance programs.
-Perform other tasks as requested or required to support the needs of the business
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of major aerospace and/or DOD manufacturing preferred -A degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field and/or equivalent experience is required.
Typically minimum
Experience:
7
years - Hands on machining background with CNC setup experience preferred -Experience/Ability to lead production employees in a high paced manufacturing environment -Demonstrates proficiency with MS office software -Possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes -Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles -Possess strong organization and communication skills - Knowledge of Quality assurance practices and procedures, including both ISO 9001 and AS9100 Quality Systems -Individual must possess and employ high ethical and business standards and always conduct himself/herself with the greatest degree of professional integrity NOTES:
Self motivated.
Requires minimum level of supervision.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
